The College of Physics
The College offers 4-year (Bachelor degree) and 5-year (Specialist and Master degree) programs (full-time, part-time and external):
- Electronics and Electrotechnics
- Micro- and Nanoelectronics
- Applied Physics
- Radio Engineering
- Technical Information Protection Systems
- Physics (Solid-State Physics)
There are seven departments: Theoretical Physics; Optic Electronics; Solid-State Physics; Thermoelectricity; Physics of Semiconductors and Nanostructures; Electronics and Power Engineering; Radio Engineering and Information Security.
The Faculty and Academic Staff - nineteen full professors, sixty-seven associate professors, and eighteen post-graduate students do their research in: nanoheterosystems; optical properties of semiconductors; phase transformations in electronic systems; science of materials of capacious and thin-film chalcogenide semiconductors and metal oxides for infrared technology, dosimetry, spintronics and solar energy; optic electronic sources and receivers of optical emanation; thermoelectricity; radiophysical methods of investigation of electronic technology materials; spin-dependent phenomena in crystals and nanostructures on the basis of semimagnetic semiconductors; dynamics of crystal lattice with the consideration of non-harmonic effects, dynamic scattering of radiation by crystals, study of crystal structure, photon- phonon interaction.
The College has a specialized Academic Council for conferring Doctorate and Candidate degrees.
The College graduates work as teachers, engineers, scientists, managers in different fields of national and foreign economies.
