The College of History, Political Science and International Relations
The College offers 4-year (Bachelor degree) and 5-year (Specialist and Master degree) programs (full-time, part-time and external) in:
- Political Science
- International Relations (Country Studies)
- International Relations (International Information)
- State Administration (Master degree program)
The Faculty consists of fifteen full professors, forty associate professors, and seventeen assistant professors.
There are seven departments: History of Ukraine; Contemporary History; Ethnology, Ancient and Medieval History; International Relations; International Information; Political Science; Foreign Languages and Translation, the College also has the Museum of Ethnography and Bukovinian Center of Archaeological Research under Chernivtsi National University.
The College has a full-time and part-time graduate school in History and Political Science. There are two specialized Academic Councils conferring Candidate and Doctorate degrees.
The faculty study the History of Ukraine, Bukovyna Region, history of political relations of foreign countries (Austria, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Canada, Macedonia, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Russia Federation, Romania, the United States, France, Czech Republic, Yugoslavia), and problematic of ancient and medieval archeology, ethnology, country study, church history, political science, international relations, and specific historical subjects.
In order to impart necessary practical skills the college provides archeological, ethnographical, pedagogical, political research, teaching, professionally oriented, and research. International relations majors have internship abroad.
The faculty do their research in nine fields, and the reports are published in five collections of papers. The College hosts “Kaindel Conference”, international Bukovyna conference, as well as Political Science conferences on the relations between Ukraine, Romania, Moldova and other countries.
The College expands its relations with international research and academic institutions of more than ten countries - Poland, Romania, Moldova, Russian Federation, Czech Republic, Slovakia, USA, Canada, etc.
