The College of Economics
The College offers 4-year (Bachelor degree) and 5-year (Specialist and Master degree) programs (full-time, part-time and external) in:
- Finance and Credit
- International Economics
- Accounting and Auditing
- Industrial Economics
- Economic Cybernetics
Departments of Economic Theory and Management, Industrial Economics, Marketing, Finance, International Economics, Economic and Mathematical Modeling, the Department of Accounting and Auditing function within the College.
Eighty academics including five full professors, forty associate professors and thirty-five assistant professors.
The College provides the postgraduate study in the fields of Economic Theory, Productive Forces Distribution and Regional Economy, and Currency, Finance and Crediting.
The International Economics studies various aspects of international economic relations, international finance, international marketing the international economic and financial organizations’ functions analysis.
The Finance and Crediting pays huge attention to the basic theory and practice of the effective use of financial resources of the industry and state, as well as to the contemporary ways of financial analysis and accounting.
The Accounting and Auditing focuses on the application of contemporary methods of economic accounting and analysis.
The Industrial Economics includes theoretical and practical study of various aspects of the modern industry functioning based on experience of the most effective foreign, national and local businesses.
The Marketing studies the demand and selling of products, resources delivery, expertise of operation with customers, consumers, resellers.
The Enterprise Management studies the theories of cost reduction, application of the innovations to production, quality improvement, receiving maximum income, psychological aspects of personnel management, strategy and tactics of negotiations, forming the optimal and effective structure and form of management of production.
The Economic Cybernetics develops and supports the systems of collection, processing and analysis of economic processes data, prognosis of their development, modeling economic consequences with the use of computer technologies.
Special courses and seminars organized by foreign lecturers play an important part in the training of highly qualified economists. Students who have a perfect knowledge of foreign languages, have an opportunity to take an internship at the universities of the USA, Canada, Austria, Germany and other countries.
Since 2001 the College of Economics of the Chernivtsi National University has been cooperating with the University of Portland (Oregon, the USA). This educational institution contributed to the foundation of Bukovyna economic educational and business center which started operating at the College in the beginning of 2002 and provides the lecturers of the College with the opportunity of taking an internship abroad.
