  • Mathematics (Statistics)
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Social Information Science

In 1920 the Department of Mathematics was founded at the College of Sciences at the Chernivtsi University, in 1940 - the Department of Mathematics at the College of Physics and Mathematics, in 1968 - the College of Mathematics, and in 2004 - the College of Applied Mathematics.

There are five departments:

  • Mathematical Analysis
  • Differential Equations
  • Algebra and Information Studies
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Mathematical Modeling

The College has a laboratory of information and computer technologies, four computer classrooms with the most up-to-date hardware and software and the Internet access.

The Faculty numbers seventy-two academics, including nine full professors and thirty-nine associate professors. They do the research in the theory of equations with partial derivatives, differential, differential and functional equations, the theory of functions, mathematical modeling and the application of modern information technologies.

The departments offer graduate courses. The College has a specialized Scientific Board for conferring Candidate degree.

The College has international cooperation agreements with the Section of Dynamic Systems and Control of Weierstrass Institute of Applied Analysis and Stochastics (Germany), the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of Sofia Technical University (Bulgaria), the Section of Mathematic Modeling of Economic Systems of the Russian Academy of Sciences Computer Center. As a result of an agreement signed with the College the experts from the DeSyde, the Yukon and the SoftServe computer companies have practical classes on modern information technologies with the undergraduates and graduates.

The demand for our graduates increases every day within and out of Ukraine.
